Symposium for Professional Wine Writers 2010

Every February I have been attending the symposium for professional wine writers in the Napa Valley. It's a great way to see good friends usually only accessed  by tweets, writing on Facebook walls, and commenting on blogs.

Of course, it is also a great place to taste some of Napa's best wines and the delicious food at the elegant Meadowood resort, where the symposium is held.

This year seems to be especially packed with great speakers: Eric Asimov, who usually attends, will be there, along with Alder Yarrow who has been coming every year I've been going (must be over six or seven years now). Michael Bauer, the food and wine editor and restaurant critic for the SF Chronicle, will be attending as well (I wrote an article on tipping on wine for him).

I met Patrick Comiskey, senior contributor for Wine & Spirits magazine in Burgundy a few years back and am looking forward to seeing him as well as a dozen other new speakers.

I'll try to post on the exciting wines I'm experiencing while I'm there!
