The effort by the Italian Trade Council to promote Italian wines and the wineries should be considered a significant advantages in a tough economic environment. I was pleasantly surprised by the array of wonderful wines that were available for tasting yet dismayed by the number of wineries that were seeking representation. Where the story is the same all over the world (wineries looking for US importers) the Italian wineries have the advantage presented by this event to actually have the opportunity for face to face encounters with potential importers.
