Luxury Hotel Review: Hostellerie Beau Rivage in Condrieu
By Marisa D'Vari | July 18th, 2010 | Category: Hotels, Restaurants | No Comments »“Help! I need a hotel recommendation for the Northern Rhone!”
I hadn’t planned on visiting the Northern Rhone, yet when I had a change of plans during a trip to Provence, I went to the Stephen Tanzer forum (International Wine Cellar) to get some helpful advice, along with eRobertParker.com. People on the board are very sophisticated travelers, and many of them suggested Beau Rivage as an excellent base for wine travels.
”Trust but verify” is my motto, so I also went to Trip Advisor and am happy to say that everyone gave the hotel glowing reviews.
Happily, a room was available (one of the most expensive but quite nice) and the concierge/front desk person was incredibly helpful and was able to set up many wine tastings for me on very short notice. Beyond the room, I must say that the people at this hotel are incredible. The front desk people are magicians, and when you dine in the restaurant, it is the best class of service from truly helpful and responsive people.
Thank you everyone at Beau-Rivage – fabulous trip!
Here are some scenes from dinner.
