VinExpo: new study with International Wine and Spirit Research reveals growth in U.S.

Today top Manhattan-based journalists and members of the trade gathered at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel to hear the VinExpo commissioned report from the International Wine and Spirits Research (IWSR) about the state of the international wine industry.
The big news? Things are looking up for the industry despite the recession. America is the leading consumer nation of tequila, bourgon, liqueurs, and cognac, and the largest retail market for still light wines in the world. We are also the largest consumer worldwide of still light wines priced higherthan $10 per bottle. And we are the 4th largest wine producing nation behind France, Italy, and Spain.
VinExpo takes place in Bordeaux this year June 19 - 23 -- I went two years ago and it was fabulous!
