Ready for a fun end of summer event?
The Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival takes place last weekend in September at the historic mansions Rosecliff and Marble House, in the seaside resort of Newport, Rhode Island.
If you have not been there, Newport is an incredible amount of fun. When I lived in Boston friends and I would often drive up for the weekend to enjoy the "scene" which can pretty much be summed up as the Monte Carlo of America. The size of yachts are incredible ... one we saw had its own heliport.
So by comparison, heading up for the Wine & Food Festival would be a bargain. - especially the Jazz Brunch on Sunday, September 25. Headlining this year’s Festival will be chef, television personality and restaurateur Lidia Bastianich, who acts as host for our Wine Media Guild lunches,
Today attended a fun media reception with representatives fromPreservation Society of Newport County, the Italian Trade Commission, Food & Wine magazine, and representatives from many wineries and food purveyors.
