Visiting Pessac-Leognon – in London!

“It’s so nice to see you!” I said to Christine Perrin Lescuyer, whom I had just seen days before in Bordeaux for En Primeur.

Decanter Magazine has some of the best consumer events I’ve ever been to, and this tasting at the elegant Institute of Directors in London was fabulous.

Christine’s family owns Chateau Carbonnieux, a gorgeous estate you can read about here.

The Graves region of Bordeaux has been producing wines since the 16th century and Pessac-Leognan, created in 1987, is made up of 71 chateaux. Many people at the tasting have tasted few whites from this area, and were surprised by their richness.
