Want to enjoy wines from your cellar in your favorite restaurant?
While many/most top end restaurants in NYC allow you to bring wine, most charge a corkage fee that ranges from $25 – $100.
Lately I’ve been exploring the world of complimentary corkage fees. Though it’s mostly a secret, many restaurants in NYC have special days when they waive corkage.
I started my initial list based on Karen Page and Andrew Dorenburg’s post on their website .
Luckily, I took their advice and called to check on their policy when making a reservation, as some of the restaurants no longer offer a BYOB while others have restriction such as one bottle per couple, or BYOB only certain hours.
And these programs can change at any time.
By conducting a google search I was able to add more restaurants to this list, yet it’s absolutely crucial to call and ask about the explicit policy in advance.
