Have you been to the Napa Valley Wine Auction? It is held this year June 2- 5 and is such an incredible long celebratory weekend.

This past January, more than sixty winemakers and winery owners came to New York to present their wines for the trade and press in anticipation of the (trade-only) Premiere Napa Valley.

The Napa Valley Wine Auction is a consumer event, giving guests the opportunity to have lunches and dinners with winery owners and taste incredible wine. You can learn more and buy tickets here.

In January, I had the good fortune to interview many of the winemakers, and even had lunch with a few of them! Among the most memorable are the lunch/interview/tastings with Shirely Roy of Roy Estates, and on another day, Susan Krausz of Arkenstone Vineyards.

If you love Napa Wine, this auction is absolutely the best way to meet the winemakers and get a sense of the people and the terroir you will never see inside a wine store or wine shop!
