Femme 1996 du Champagne from Duval LeRoy

An incredible launch of Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne 1996 in Greenwich Village today with owner Carol Duval-Leroy, her son Julien, and others at the new, fashionable Air Champagne Bar.

Carol worked with Chef de Cave Sandrine Longette-Jardin to design a well-balanced wine that rests on the lees for 21 years, yet one that is delicate, rich, and delicious – does not have any hint of oxidation.

It was a fabulous wine and event, with other vintages shown including the Femme de Champagne 1995 and 1990.

Through her son Julien, Carol conveyed her words of welcome, emphasizing it one of the few family-owned estates with wines on virtually every famous wine list in the world.
